Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (214), August 2014: A strong effort, the 2013 Pape Clement boasts a dark ruby/plum color along with notes of black currants, mulberries, cherries, graphite, and a hint of white chocolate, medium body, more substance, depth and texture than most of its peers, soft, round tannins, and a straightforward finish. Made from a final blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, this wine achieved 13.5% natural alcohol. It can be consumed over the next 10-15 years.
